Nitrous Oxide as of 8-18-12
I am spraying the nitrous "dry" and having the computer add the extra fuel and retard the timing.
Here is how the relays are currently wired up....
In addition to the above relays, I have a relay for the nitrous bottle heater, the fuel injectors, the ignition coils and three extras for future possible changes!
Here is a little more info on each of the above relays...
L = Line lock activation with clutch switch
R = Rev limiter (Launch control - low side, programmable)
1 = General Purpose Output #1 Activates N2O when throttle position sensor reaches programmed amount.
2 = General Purpose Output #2 Activates N2O when engine reaches programmed rpm.
3 = General Purpose Output #3 Changes N2O from stage one to stage two at programmed rpm.
4 = General Purpose Output #4 Turns off N2O and turns on shift light at programmed rpm.
5 = Activates second stage of nitrous while in fourth gear or when steering wheel button is pushed.
M = Manifold Air Temperature override for fuel enrichment and timing retard of first stage of nitrous oxide.
A = Auxiliary input for fuel enrichment and timing retard of second stage of nitrous oxide.
Here is a picture of how the above relays are mounted in the car...
Another view of the relays...
Wiring is a little unkempt, but solid. As I was experimenting with a few setups, I didn't want to spend the time to tidy it up until I knew how I want to keep it. This year I will secure things better so that it is not only fully functional, but a bit nicer looking too!
And, here is how I might re-wire the nitrous for the 2014 season...

These changes will allow me to run one stage in first gear, two stages in second and third gears and three stages (of power) in fourth gear.
